Octopus Pizza

During our travels, one of my favorite memories (considering I am 7 months pregnant) was the seafood pizza we had in Jacó.  I do not remember the name of the restaurant, but my kids went crazy for the pulpo (octopus) and mussels and clams.  We do not have the shellfish, but we did pick up about 3 kilos of frozen octopus on our last seafood run to Puntarenas, so we have decided to make our own seafood pizza.

 After sauteing the octopus for about 30 minutes, we added to our pizza with a homemade creamy garlic sauce, spinach, mushrooms, red onion and fresh mozzarella and Parmesan. The results were fantastic and now we do not have to drive to Jacó just to get a good seafood pizza. The kids had more flour on them than the pizza did, but messy fun is the best.
Ok, this is the one with Italian sausage, but my kids picked the octopus off so fast, I could not get a good picture of it.  Just take my word for it - delish!
